Fall outfits are my favorites. They signal the change of season and bring a new rainbow of colors. As a teenager, I remember waiting anxiously for the “college edition” of Vogue and Glamor so I could see the new fall fashions. In those days, fashion magazines featured articles that would give you practical ideas on what to wear. Today, the fashion in magazines is utterly bizarre and certainly not something you would see Jane Does across America wear.

Besides new things to wear, the new season introduces colors that reflect our autumnal landscapes and foliage. We’ll see hues of claret-red, flaxen gold, goose gray, and burnt orange. I hope you’re inspired to update your wardrobe by adding a new dress, coat, caplet or gloves. Another option is to buy an accessory like a scarf or a sweater in one of the fall colors. I’m thinking of adding spicy mustard sofa pillows and an accent piece in Riverside blue. How were you inspired?
