Best Low Carb Fruits

What are the best low carb Fruits to enjoy?

Low-carb fruits – this is not an oxymoron! Of course, fruits have carbohydrates because of their natural sugar content. But some have less carbs than others.

In this article, Lisa Valente, registered dietitian and nutrition editor, ranks thirteen fruits, which are good options for people watching their carbs and sugar intake. I am a fruit lover and was happy to see many favorites fared well. My treasured blueberries ranked smack in the middle at number seven. Yay!

To nudge your culinary talents, I’m sharing a recipe (Keto Berry Salad) posted by Annie Lampella at KetoFocus. I haven’t tried Annie’s recipe yet. I was curious to taste the “sugar-free syrup” that Lisa recommended. I ordered some, and I like it–it doesn’t leave a nasty aftertaste nor overpower with sweetness. Give it a try, and let me know what you think.

While blueberries offer a delightful blend of taste and health benefits, not all fruits fit into the low-carb category. Take pears, for example; they aren’t typically considered low-carb, but their sweet, rich flavor and versatility make them worth exploring. If you’re curious about pears, check out our in-depth look at Explore Pear Varieties: A Tasty Option Beyond Low-Carb Choices, which offers great insights into their varieties and how to enjoy them in your meals.
